It's rare for me to see a Western device reviewer praise a OnePlus flagship device as superior to the Pixel, iPhone or Samsung. For the OnePlus 13, many are starting to accept Samsung's offering despite its shortcomings. One of the current talking points is the 6000mAh battery on the slim OnePlus 13 that also supports 100W charging.
Recently, OnePlus is reportedly developing an 8000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
Interestingly, this battery uses carbon-silica technology with higher energy density. It is said to reach 15% total density. With this technology and aided by AI battery health monitoring, OnePlus' 8000mAh battery can guarantee low temperatures, long battery life, consistent fast charging support and less risk of battery problems.
This battery is tested in a research lab where the final technology will be used by OnePlus or Oppo. OnePlus is said to be integrating 7000mAh battery technology first before using this 8000mAh capacity. If the OnePlus 13 with a 6000mAh battery can last for almost two days, will a 7K or 8K mAh battery be able to reach up to 3 or 4 days?
