OnePlus Watch 3 Now Official With Five-Day Battery Life

The OnePlus Watch 3 was just launched last night for markets outside Asia. It is the successor to the Watch 2 with a 1.5-inch AMOLED screen that now uses a titanium bezel and sapphire glass. The screen brightness is up to 2,200 nits as this new watch focuses on rugged activities.

The watch runs the latest Wear OS 5 operating system. It also includes a functional rotating crown, no longer a decoration like the Watch 2. For additional protection, this watch has been certified according to military-grade durability, supports 5ATM and IP68 water protection and is limited to WiFi only. The watch also runs a second operating system based on RTOS. It uses a similar concept to the TicWatch Pro 3, where the watch mode uses RTOS and the smart mode uses Wear OS.

These two operating systems can be run thanks to the new Snapdragon W5 chip paired with the BES 2800 chip and 32GB of storage. For health monitoring features, this watch uses an 8-channel heart rate sensor with a 16-channel blood oxygen sensor. It also supports ECG and the Health Check-In feature to check body health data within 60 seconds.

This watch has a battery life of up to 5 days and in RTOS mode only up to 16 days. OnePlus Watch 3 is seen to only be sold in countries like the United States, Europe, Canada and outside Asia at a price of around RM1,463. This watch may not be sold in Malaysia because the Oppo Watch X2 is rumored to arrive simultaneously with the Find N5 later.
