Oppo is the manufacturer with the largest market share in Southeast Asia by 2024 according to a report by Canalys. They overtook Samsung, which held the top position last year. According to Canalys, Oppo holds 18% of the market followed by Samsung (17%), Transsion (16%), Xiaomi (16%) and Vivo (13%).

In Southeast Asia, a total of 97.7 million smartphones were manufactured last year which is equivalent to an increase of 11% compared to 2023. The Southeast Asian smartphone market is recovering after a slump due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In Malaysia, Xiaomi is at the top with a 16% share, followed by Vivo (14%), Transsion (13%), Honor (12%) and Samsung (11%). The four manufacturers above recorded an increase with Samsung declining by 11%. The biggest surprise was Transsion which markets Infinix and Tecno devices with a manufacturer increase of 41% throughout 2024 compared to last year.
