Panasonic is now reportedly considering selling its television business under them, in an effort to reduce losses and operating costs. Sharing this, Panasonic said they are ready to sell the business, but have not made any decisions.
Panasonic also added that they feel that no company wants to buy the business. In Japan itself, Panasonic's market share in the television arena is decreasing year by year, not to mention with consumers choosing Chinese brands that are offered at cheaper prices.
Previously, in December 2024, Panasonic also sold its stake in the automotive division to another company - in an effort to restructure Panasonic's various operations, and increase the company's rate of return.
Under Panasonic, there are also several other offerings, especially home electronics, in addition to also having offerings in the lighting arena, energy sector, imaging, communications and so on.
