Last month, Nintendo teased the arrival of their new mobile game console Switch 2. In addition to a new design, a larger screen, and possibly offering faster performance – the brand new Joy-Con was also seen. Recently, a patent explaining the details of this Joy-Con was revealed.
Based on the video, the Joy-Con is seen to use a new magnetic connection. It will also support other magnetic accessories such as a handle strap. More uniquely, the Joy-Con is also seen to be able to be used as a mouse just like the Lenovo Legion Go. However, what games are supported is not yet known. In the patent document that was revealed, the new Joy-Con will indeed focus on mouse use. So there may be other accessories or other controllers specifically for this control.
Another thing revealed in this patent is the Joy-Con placed on some kind of surface or pad. It may be a charging dock because there is a charging port visible. Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to be launched around April. Let's all wait and see.
