Fast charging support on Samsung’s flagship devices is a bit confusing and for some users it can be tricky. Samsung uses the Super Fast Charging standard through its Adaptive Fast Charging charger that uses USB Power Delivery Programmable Power Supply technology. Recently, a number of Galaxy S25 users have reported problems with their devices charging at a very slow rate.
This issue seems to be on Samsung’s side, because users who reported the problem were using Samsung’s official 45W charger. Even using a charger that exceeds the standard should not be able to charge quickly. The problem occurs when the device’s battery is at 5% and when it is at 60% to 70%.
Samsung is aware of this issue and also reminds users to use a 5A power cable instead of the 3A provided in the box. This slow charging issue will also be fixed in a future software update. As long as I have been using the Galaxy S25+, there have been no charging problems. What about you?
