At the Unpacked event two weeks ago, Samsung teased the launch of their first tri-folding screen device and smart glasses. With its existence now seemingly confirmed, speculation has begun about the name that will be used for the upcoming product. A report from Never claims that Samsung's first tri-folding screen device will use the Galaxy G Fold name.
The device is believed to have a 9.96″ screen when fully opened and is comparable in weight to the Huawei Mate XT, the world's first tri-folding screen device. Samsung Display has produced several prototypes of tri-folding screens before, but so far they have not been marketed. The screen used by Huawei is manufactured by BOE.
It is predicted that Samsung's first tri-folding screen device may be launched in early 2026. The question is whether there is a market for devices in this category with a much more premium selling price.
