Spotify has now started making policy changes to its platform, and is now accepting audiobooks read using AI. Currently, Spotify is accepting audiobooks generated using ElevenLabs Voices.
ElevenLabs stated that more people have started listening to audiobooks than ever before, but it leads to high costs for writers or publishers in publishing works in audio form. However, with ElevenLabs' offering, these costs can be drastically reduced.
ElevenLabs Voices supports a number of languages, including Bahasa Malaysia. After generating audiobooks using it, users can upload the audiobooks to Spotify using the Findaway Voices platform.
As usual, a review process will be carried out before an audiobook is published, and it must be labeled as digitally generated. This step is also expected to lead to the production of various variations of audiobooks for listeners around the world.
