It is a big problem when a service that was originally free then requires a fee to access. However, because it has become a habit, many daily services and applications now require a subscription. The latest problem is that after paying, users are still served ads when they should not. Last year it happened to YouTube Premium customers and this year Spotify customers also reported the same issue.
Through the Spotify community page, throughout the past week until today, Spofiy Premium customers have been hearing and seeing ads appear even though their respective accounts are active and have paid for a subscription. Ads are seen appearing on podcasts in the form of thumbnail images before and after listening. Ads in the form of audio are also said to be audible.
On this community page, Spotify has admitted and is aware of this problem and stated that their technical team is currently investigating and will resolve this problem as soon as possible. Are you a Spotify Premium customer who is also hearing and seeing ads?
