Vivo, through an official statement today, announced that two new phones in the Y series will hit the Malaysian market. They are known as the Vivo Y29 and Vivo Y39 with significant differences in the use of design elements. The Y29 model features a square camera bump, while the Y39 uses a large round camera bump. Both were also found listed on the official website with full specifications.
Vivo Y29 uses a 6.68-inch HD+ LCD screen. It is powered by a Snapdragon 685 chip with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. At the same time, it runs FunTouch OS 15 based on Android 15 for AI-based features. The 6500mAh battery used supports 44W fast charging. In addition, it has a 50MP + 2MP main camera and an 8MP selfie camera.
Vivo Y39 also offers a 6.68-inch HD+ LCD screen. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage are used as the mainstay. In addition, it runs FunTouch OS 15 software based on Android 15 for built-in AI-based features. A 6500mAh battery is included that can be charged via 44W fast charging and a USB-C port. A 50MP + 2MP main camera and an 8MP selfie camera also complement this new device.
Vivo Y29 is listed at a price of RM799 each, while the Y39 is still a mystery that will only be known on February 27, 2025.
