YouTube Begins Introducing AI-Powered Video Generation Feature for YouTube Shorts

YouTube today announced the integration of artificial intelligence-powered video generation support, through YouTube Shorts. For this purpose, YouTube is integrating the latest video generation model developed by Google, named Veo 2.

Veo 2 offers support for generating videos via text-based input. In fact, through a number of demos and trials, the generated results look better than other offerings, including Sora provided by OpenAI.

YouTube integrates this feature through the YouTube Shorts camera, where users can access the application, and then select Green Screen, then select Dream Screen. In this section, users can input text and select images to generate videos, and then use them in your YouTube Shorts videos.

For now, this feature is limited to a few countries only, including the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. YouTube aims to gradually expand it to users in other countries.
