With the second phase of JENDELA development commencing at the end of 2023, we are currently in the process of upgrading the 4G network in terms of coverage and quality, and according to Maxis, together with the upgrading of substations and the development of new 4G and 5G substations, it is expected that Malaysia will achieve 100 percent composite coverage of 4G networks and broadband internet by the end of 2025.

The percentage of internet network coverage for populated areas in Malaysia is currently estimated to be at 98.38 percent as of 30 September 2024, so 100 percent coverage by the end of 2025 is not impossible.
