AI Editing and Web Search to Be Supported in Windows 11 Photos App

The Photos app in Windows is about to receive an update that may make you stay loyal to this built-in album app. In the new Windows Insider, Photos can now detect the context in the image for users to copy text, perform AI editing and can also perform Internet searches like Circle to Search.

Photos 2025.11030.20006.0 is said to be distributed in stages to Windows Insider users first. Photos now has a built-in OCR feature, where it detects content to identify text. Users can also scan the entire image to search using Bing, and can also perform AI editing such as using the magic eraser.

Not only that, Microsoft has also started integrating Copilot into Photos, where this AI chatbot will be an assistant to users in editing or getting additional information. Photos has also been updated to make it easier for users to manage storage, including folders. This is one of the most useful updates for the Photos app in Windows 11. Hopefully in the future users will be able to log in to Google Photos and not be limited to OneDrive only.
