Apple Delays Launch of Smart Screen Due to Siri

Apple is reportedly developing a smart screen that is believed to have an iPad-sized screen, robotic arms and speakers like the HomePod. According to a Bloomberg report, the smart screen that functions as a smart home hub like Google Nest and Echo Show has been delayed due to delays in new features that Siri was supposed to support.

As we reported yesterday, Siri, which is enhanced with artificial intelligence (AI) features, has been delayed to an unknown date. It is supposed to have the ability to chat more intelligently and naturally. Even though it has been almost a year since this enhanced Siri was announced at WWDC, Apple has not yet launched it to the public because it is not felt to be ready. In fact, there are rumors that Siri with the ability to be personalized with user data will only be launched with iOS 19 next September.

This delay in Siri with AI is quite surprising because Apple is the only major brand that has not yet offered this feature widely. Apple Intelligence is still behind Gemini, Galaxy AI and Copilot. But at the same time in a poll conducted last year, over 70% of Apple users said AI was not seen as an important feature they wanted on the device.
