Apple Sued Over Siri Ads Allegedly Deceiving Users

iOS 18.4 was supposed to be an update where Apple Intelligence enabled a “smarter” Siri. However, due to complex development issues and the complex source code of Siri, this new generation of Siri had to be delayed to iOS 19. Because of this, Siri ads were removed, Apple’s smart screen project was postponed and the head of the Siri team was changed. Most recently, Apple was sued for the same reason.

Apple is being sued by law firm Clarkson Law, the same firm that previously sued Google and OpenAI over their respective AI technology development issues. This suit is filed on the grounds that Apple practices false advertising and misleads people into buying products with features or functions that do not exist or are limited. This suit is more specific to the Siri feature that is not included in the purchase of the iPhone 16 or iPhones that come with iOS 18.

Clarkson Law is said to represent all users who feel deceived by Apple’s advertising and want to pursue this lawsuit as a class action. Were you fooled by Apple's advertising or did you already know that it would be delayed so it's not surprising?
