Apple will reportedly have two iPhones with foldable screens by 2026. This means that Apple will begin making final agreements to select suppliers to start developing components and then ensure smooth production. Apple usually makes final agreements a year before and the latest report states that the supplier of the iPhone's foldable screen is Samsung.
Apple is said to be likely to give its final word on choosing Samsung as a supplier by April. Interestingly, the screen designed by Apple and manufactured by Samsung is said to not have any visible fold effects. Unlike the Foldable Dynamic AMOLED on the Galaxy Z Fold6 which still shows fold effects.
Not only that, Apple is also said to be nearing the final phase in the hinge design to facilitate the production and development process for it to be paired with the Samsung screen. One of the early reports about this foldable iPhone is that it might offer a concept similar to the Galaxy Z Fold, only it will look like an iPad when opened and an iPhone when closed. Let's stay tuned.
