The Canon PowerShot V1 will go on sale in the Malaysian market in April 2025 at a price of RM3,999. This announcement coincides with yesterday’s global launch. For those interested, the camera will be available through authorized Canon dealers nationwide starting next month.
The Canon PowerShot V1 is equipped with a 22.3MP Micro Four Thirds equivalent sensor (3:2 aspect ratio), built-in electronic stabilization, and the ability to record 4K30P video with Canon LOG or 4K60P (1.4x crop). At the same time, it can record 10-bit Log video, which means users can make color corrections, adjust tones and create different styles in video post-processing.
There is also a dedicated movie mode for close-up shooting along with an autofocus system powered by Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system. The camera is also equipped with a 3-inch adjustable LCD touchscreen. In addition to other additional features such as a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C port, and a microphone built into the body of this camera.
