Dell XPS 13 With Intel Core Ultra 9 288V Processor Shown

When the Intel Core Ultra 200V Lunar Lake processor series was launched last year, the processor model listing showed a Core Ultra 9 model, the Intel Core Ultra 9 288V.

At the Snapdragon Southeast Asia Summit today, as a comparison with Qualcomm's Snapdragon X series processor series, a laptop powered by the processor was shown.

Most laptops shown on the market today are models like the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V and Intel Core Ultra 256V, but it's very rare for anyone to show a laptop with the Intel Core Ultra 9 288V CPU.

This is interesting to me because it's the first time I've seen a laptop with this processor, which has been seen as a "unicorn" in today's computing world. It also means that this processor really exists, and is not something that's just written on paper.

Like other Lunar Lake processors, it comes with eight physical cores, divided into four performance cores (P-cores) and four efficiency cores (E-cores). It has a Turbo Boost speed of up to 5.1GHz, is equipped with Intel Arc 140V graphics and uses 32GB of LPDDR5X memory.

Unfortunately, since this laptop was spotted at a Qualcomm event, no Dell product spokesperson was present to tell us whether it was a commercial model, or just an engineering product.

A quick search on Dell Malaysia’s website revealed that the only CPU offerings available were with either the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite or Intel Core Ultra 7 258V chips.
