Minister of Communications, Datuk Fahmi Fadzil is now reminding teachers not to use students as content for their respective social media.
The Minister reminded teachers who are also social media influencers to find different types of content and not use students - because this leads to issues involving security, personal data and also revealing the names and faces of students to social media. This also leads to exposure to various threats of danger, including sexual danger.
The Minister also emphasized that social media platforms record and store data. When uploading content to social media, the data is stored on its servers owned by foreign countries. For this reason, the Minister asked to be more careful when sharing content via social media.
