The Huawei Pura X was officially launched in China a while ago. The device comes with a wider design than regular foldable phones, allowing it to be used in either a horizontal or vertical position.

The Huawei Pura X is equipped with an OLED inner screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It is also 6.3-inches with a resolution of 2120 X 1320 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, a peak brightness of 4500nits and supports HDR Vivid content. The display is also claimed to provide 30% more viewing space than most regular 16:10 devices.

The outer OLED screen is 3.5-inches with a resolution of 980 X 980 pixels, a 1:1 ratio and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The same part also houses the main camera system including a 50MP f/1.6 RYYB main sensor, a 40MP ultra-wide angle, an 8MP telephoto and a color sensor.

The Pura X runs the new HarmonyOS 5 which also integrates the AI capabilities of DeepSeek-R1 into the native HarmonyOS ecosystem, specifically to help improve the capabilities of the Xiaoyi virtual assistant with the latest language model technology. The software performance is also improved by up to 40% compared to the previous HarmonyOS version.

Another interesting thing is the device's ability to detect AI-based eye tracking, which can help users change pages on the screen with just eye movements. The 4270mAh battery provided also supports 66W wired and 44W wireless fast charging. The Pura X is sold in China starting at RMB7499 (~RM4,579) for the 12/256GB variant.
