Last April, Automattic, the company that owns WordPress, acquired Beeper after about 6 months of acquiring Texts, another multi-messaging service. Now, after a long wait for a new offering, Beeper has been relaunched.
The desktop application is said to have been revamped with Texts technology integration. The new application is more efficient in terms of battery power consumption and is faster. For message content, it will be stored securely on the Beeper Cloud. The iOS application has been rebuilt from scratch with a new design.
Based on the Beeper offering, the previous multi-messaging support is still continued. One big feature that made Beeper attractive when it was launched has been removed, which is iMessage. The new Beeper no longer allows users to use iMessage on this multi-messaging platform.
Using the new Beeper is also free and there are still no charges. If you are interested, Beeper is now available for download for Windows, macOS and iOS.
