One good thing for those who are going to buy the Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is the updates. Yesterday, after its launch, Nothing shared about the change to the update support for its mid-range devices. It has now been extended to 3 years of Android version updates and 6 years of security patch updates.
Previously, the Nothing Phone (2a) and Phone (2a) Plus only supported up to 3+4 years. With this support extension, the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro will be supported until Android 18. Then the distribution of security patch updates will take place until 2031. Both of Nothing's new mid-range devices run Nothing OS 3.1 based on Android 15.
