NVIDIA's CEO has now shared that they will open a research lab focused on quantum computing. This lab will open in Boston, United States, and will see collaboration with scientists from Harvard University and MIT.
This lab will focus on unifying the development of hardware for quantum with supercomputers powered by artificial intelligence. It is also expected to drive the development of quantum supercomputers. NVIDIA's lab will also focus on the development of CUDA-Q in this lab, which is an open source hybrid computing platform.
The announcement of this research lab focused on quantum computing is ready to surprise many, not to mention that earlier this year, NVIDIA's CEO said that the era of quantum computing will take more than a decade before it is truly useful and applied.
