OneNote Windows 10 Support to End This October

OneNote is one of the most popular note-taking apps among Windows users. In fact, the latest version is very useful because it also integrates Sticky Notes and is packaged in Microsoft 365. Starting October 14, 2025, the Windows 10 version of the OneNote application will be discontinued.

Yes, this legacy note-taking application in Windows 10 will no longer be supported because Microsoft wants users to switch to the OneNote version in Microsoft 365. This new version supports cloud backup, cross-device access, is more secure and offers a modern user experience. To convince people to switch to the latest version, this legacy version of OneNote will operate with gradually slower performance starting in June.

If you are a loyal OneNote user, make sure you have backed up your notes and switched to OneNote from within Microsoft 365. By the way, access to Copilot can also be obtained compared to before, only one note application.
