Pixie's Mysterious Virtual Assistant for Pixel 10 Is Actually a Pixel Screenshot App

Luckily, Google hasn't marketed Pixie to the public, because otherwise they will definitely be sued like Apple was sued for lying about Siri and Apple Intelligence features. Pixie was rumored to be an AI virtual assistant for Pixel 10 with the nature of an AI agent, but it was recently revealed that it has already been launched and introduced in Pixel 9 as Pixel Screenshot.

Pixie was originally planned to be a virtual assistant with the nature of an AI agent. It is the next Google Assistant where users can ask for help with simple commands. However, with the success of Gemini, Google didn't want Pixie to become a competitor so it was split into two, namely features for Gemini and Pixel Screenshot. Both of these support AI technology based on multi-model technology which when combined is indeed a kind of AI agent.

Although Pixie's presence will not be, we will most likely still be able to see the presence of Pixel Sense. Pixel Sense is said to be an application or hub that helps users when needed because it always understands the context. Pixel Sense is likely Google's answer to the Now Bar/Now Brief on the Samsung Galaxy S25 or the Essential Key/Essential Space on the Nothing Phone (3a). An application that stores important data and then extracts relevant information or summarizes it and can also provide notifications or reminders to the user.
