Prudential Tower Begins Using Robots for Security Monitoring

Prudential Tower is now among the first to use robots for security monitoring purposes. The robot also comes with support for artificial intelligence integration, in an effort to further improve monitoring and efficiency.

The robot and its artificial intelligence support can integrate with smart systems in buildings, allowing security personnel to focus more on ensuring public safety.

This robot was developed by KABAM Robotics, and is named Co-Lab. It is equipped with high-definition cameras, as well as other sensors that allow analysis to be carried out at all times, in addition to reducing blind spots during monitoring. This robot can work for seven hours on a full charge. With integration with smart building systems, this robot can also move across various floors of the building.

The use of this robot is said to offer monitoring at human eye level, in addition to providing a more accurate field of vision. Artificial intelligence support also allows it to identify individuals who are not allowed after office hours, in addition to monitoring other regulations – such as smoking ban violations, infrastructure that is facing problems, and others.

Various data or warnings will also be notified to the system and security officers on duty, to take further action. For now, this robot is used for indoor purposes only, and may be expanded if everything goes well.
