Apple has reportedly changed the head of Siri development after the integration of Apple Intelligence features that was announced since last year's WWDC failed to launch on schedule. According to Bloomberg, John Giannandrea has been replaced by Mike Rockwell after Tim Cook reportedly lost faith in Giannandrea to lead product development as promised.
Giannandrea will, however, remain familiar with the Apple Intelligence development team. The selection of Mike Rockwell is quite interesting because he was the previous head of Vision Pro development which also faced various post-launch issues.
The artificial intelligence-powered Siri has been delayed from the original schedule and at this time there are rumors that it will only be available through iOS 19. According to the advertisement published by Apple earlier, Siri will have personalized features based on user habits and needs. After its launch was postponed, the advertisement published by Apple was removed from YouTube.
