Sony WF-C710N Launched With Better ANC At RM499

It is very rare for a new generation product to be sold at a cheaper price but with more expensive features and functions than the previous generation. This is the case with Sony's new TWS, the WF-C710N, which is the successor to the two-year-old WF-C700N.

The WF-C710N is sold in Malaysia at RM499, which is RM50 cheaper than the C700N two years ago. Sony claims that the active noise cancellation feature and ambient mode or sound-through mode have now been upgraded to take advantage of the built-in dual-microphone system. Each audio feature also does not use any special chips found on TWS like the WF-1000XM5.

Sony has also added an ambient sensor for the auto-pause media feature when the earphones are removed from the ear. Each earphone also now uses a touch pad instead of physical buttons, protection is now IPX4, and multi-device tethering support is still maintained. The WF-C710N also has a better battery life of up to 8.5 hours with ANC, 30 hours with the charging pod, 40 hours without ANC, and if the battery runs out, just charge for 5 minutes for 1 hour of use.

Sony Malaysia lists four color options, namely Pink, Glass Blue, White and Black. All are priced at RM499 but there is still no release date.
