The TECNO Camon 40 series was launched during the Mobile World Congress 2025 event in Barcelona a few weeks ago. Today, the Camon 40 Pro, the penultimate model with the lowest specifications in this series, was launched for the Malaysian market. This device is the Camon 40 Pro.
The TECNO Camon 40 Pro is a 4G device with a Helio G100 Ultimate chip. It is paired with 8+8 GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. For the screen, this device uses a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with Gorilla Glass 7i with a refresh rate of 120Hz. For the camera configuration, TECNO uses a 50MP Sony LYT-700C main sensor with OIS optimized for night mode and AI. The second sensor is an 8MP ultra-wide angle and 50MP for selfies.
This basic premium or basic mid-range device packs a 5,200mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The device also uses a premium, durable design such as an aluminum body with a glass back panel and a gooseneck camera module. The device also has IP68/IP69 protection.
TECNO Camon 40 Pro does not forget to offer the latest trend feature, namely the additional physical button One Tap Button. It works like the Action Button on the iPhone 15 Pro and above, where users are free to set what function this button can do. What TECNO wants to emphasize is the FlashSnap feature, to take beautiful pictures of moving subjects. Then is to call Ella Voice, which is an AI virtual assistant with the DeepSeek-R1, ChatGPT-4o and Gemini models. In HiOS 15 on this device there are also other AI features such as AI Eraser 2.0, AI Perfect Face, AI Sharpness Plus, AI Image Extender, AI Call Assistant and AI Writing.
TECNO Camon 40 Pro is already on sale in Malaysia starting today with two color options, namely Galaxy Black and Emerald Green. The selling price in Malaysia is RM849 with exclusive sales limited to the official TECNO TikTok Shop.
