Since last year, Threads has been testing a feature to create a timeline that displays specific topics. This indirectly makes it easier for users to get only the content they want. This Custom Feed feature was later expanded to allow users to bookmark topics directly on their user profile. Today, both of these features are being rolled out to all users more widely with the addition of a feature for content control.
Among the new features is that before users press share any content, topics can now be added so that it is accessible to users who are only or who are actually looking for such content. Not only that, Threads also added a feature for users to be able to set who can reply and/or quote the shared content. In Threads, the media player has also been updated with more controls such as pausing, skipping, and viewing the duration of the media being played.
Most of these new features are already available in Threads. In my test on an Android device, the topic-related features are still not available.
