The Vivo Vision XR headset was finally shown for the first time at the Boao Forum for Asia event yesterday. In terms of design, it is similar to the Apple Vision Pro because it has a glass panel on the front, a large bezel on the front, a large rear camera pad and a battery pack connected using a power cable. Although the Vivo Vision has been shown, information about its specifications and capabilities has not yet been revealed.
Vivo only said that this headset is targeting a launch in China in the middle of this year and did not clarify whether it will later go to the global market. It is not surprising that the Vivo Vision will also use the same Android XR operating system as Samsung Project Moohan.
Although the demand for VR and XR headsets has not been very encouraging since it was first marketed, there are several manufacturers who still want to enter this market. The Vision Pro, which is hoped to save the XR industry, only received a response in the early stages before flat demand caused Apple to reportedly stop production at the end of 2024.
