You Can Now Search for Video Transcripts Directly from Google Drive

Last year, Google Drive added a useful AI feature where uploaded videos can generate transcripts. This makes it easier for users to find important moments by just reading and not watching the full video for reference. Most recently, Google now allows users to search for transcripts as well.

This new update adds a feature where the generated transcripts are now displayed in a new sidebar. After the transcript button is pressed, all the highlighted text can be clicked to go to a specific moment in the video. Users can also search for specific scenes by simply searching with keywords.

This feature is rolling out to all users starting yesterday, February 24 and will be available in stages until March 26.
