Last September, Google launched the Ask Music feature through YouTube Music. It is a generative AI feature that generates radio stations or playlists based on user prompts. This feature was initially limited to Android devices, but now if iOS device users are interested, it is ready to use.
This feature will appear on the main page of the YouTube Music application. After pressing, users can enter prompts or ideas for it to be processed. Prompts received are short texts such as 80s inspired indie, Dreamy synthpop, Saddest songs or easy-to-understand sentences. After it is generated, the first song will continue to play automatically and this generated playlist can be saved to the user's library.
This playlist or radio can also be shared with the public. This feature is said to require a YouTube Premium subscription and English language settings.
