YTL confirmed that they will be among the early adopters of NVIDIA GB300 Blackwell Ultra GPUs announced last year. The data center with NVIDIA's most powerful artificial intelligence (AI) supercomputer will operate at the YTL Green Data Center Campus in Johor, using 500MW of solar power for more environmentally friendly operations.
The same campus will also be the location of the NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 supercomputer announced last year and is expected to be operational starting Q3 2025. YTL's AI data center is located at the 1640-acre YTL Green Data Center campus in Johor, which is currently the state with the largest data center in Malaysia.
In Johor alone, existing data centers are seen to require 440 million liters of water per day to operate until 2035. Therefore, sustainable operations such as using solar power and alternative water sources are necessary before they burden the country's infrastructure.
