20,000 AI Songs Uploaded To Deezer Every Day

Songs created by generative artificial intelligence (AI) have become a hot topic among music fans. Is there any space for music that is not produced by humans? On music streaming platforms, AI generated songs are used by certain individuals to generate income even though it does not require any creativity. Deezer now says 20,000 AI-generated songs are uploaded every day which is 18% of the music uploaded to the platform every day.

This is an increase from the 10% of songs uploaded daily last January. Although Deezer allows music created using generative AI such as Suno and Udio on their platform, these songs will not be recommended to users. This is to ensure human artists are featured. For this reason, an AI song detection system has been used by Deezer.

Despite Deezer and Udio's growing popularity, both companies faced lawsuits from several prominent recording companies due to their accusations of using artists' music without authorization. At the same time big companies like OpenAI and Google are rushing the American government to allow AI models to be trained using intellectual property to ensure their country stays ahead. Even though this opinion is less popular, he received support from Jack Dorsey and Elon Musk.
