This city is the foundation of Honor’s mission, and has paved the way for inventions that can change people’s lives around the world.
Honor Headquarters in Shenzhen
Our journey began with an inspiring experience: a visit to Honor’s headquarters in Shenzhen, China. Shenzhen, a city known as the Silicon Valley of China, is the center of various technological innovations, and is home to many world-renowned companies including Honor. It is no wonder that this city is a place where advanced technology flourishes, and has a great impact on the world.
Honor’s headquarters building stands majestically, which also highlights its modern design. With 38 floors, every space in this building has an important role, whether for daily operations, or research and development (R&D) that is the foundation of Honor’s technological strength. The design is not only a symbol of sophistication but also Honor's commitment to leading global technology.
We were taken up to the 16th floor, where the Honor showroom is located, with a special design to showcase various latest technologies. As soon as we stepped inside, we were greeted with a good atmosphere, which was full of products that showed innovation. From smartphones to other smart devices, each of them focused on advanced functions and features that meet the needs of modern users.
The atmosphere in this showroom is not only eye-catching but also gives an idea of how Honor combines technology with user experience to create something truly Special.
Among the products that stole our attention were several models such as the Honor 300 Ultra and Magic7, which are not officially offered in Malaysia. These models come with the latest technology that promises a better experience, along with AI-based features that make everyday life easier.
In addition, there was a demonstration of the latest initiative known as Alpha Plan. This demonstration gave us an idea of how Honor provides a solution that facilitates file sharing between Android and iOS systems through the Honor Connect application.
This application also provides advantages in terms of speed, and convenience in the data transfer process by only requiring an internet connection. This first day visit gave us more than just a glimpse into Honor's products and technology. In fact, it became a symbol of Honor's grand vision to continue to inspire the world of technology.
Alpha Plan Is Honor's Future Technology
One of the interesting experiences during our visit was when witnessing a demonstration of Honor's latest technology known as Alpha Plan. This technology is an interesting solution that bridges the gap between the Android and iOS ecosystems, where the two systems are often considered difficult to communicate with each other.
File transfer between android and iOS
With the Honor Connect application, the process of transferring files between the two ecosystems has become easier and more efficient. This process only requires users to download the application, and an internet connection as the basic requirement for everything to run smoothly. Alpha Plan also reflects Honor's vision in creating technology solutions that not only make life easier but also provide a smoother experience. It also shows how Honor continues to strive to adapt technology to current needs, and make the previously difficult process of file sharing now as easy as a fingertip.
AI Agent
We were also introduced to AI Agent, an intelligent feature that acts as a digital personal assistant. AI Agent not only interacts with users, but also learns from usage patterns and understands the context of the environment. With this capability, AI Agent can efficiently manage daily tasks automatically. Imagine your daily tasks, from scheduling to applications, being managed without any additional requirements from you. AI Agent takes the smart device experience to a new dimension.
AiMAGE Technology
Not to be outdone, we also saw a demonstration of AiMAGE technology, which once again showcased Honor’s prowess in artificial intelligence (AI). AiMage gives users the ability to transform ordinary photos into something extraordinary. The AI Overpainting function allows users to add space to photos to create a more interesting context. AI Eraser helps remove unwanted elements in photos, while AI Upscale enhances the quality of blurry photos to make them sharper.
AI Deepfake Technology
In addition, Honor also showcased their AI Deepfake technology, which is specially designed to detect image and video manipulation. This is an important step towards maintaining the effectiveness of digital media in the midst of an increasingly complex era. After the demonstration, we had the opportunity to walk around the exhibition space on this floor, which is filled with various interesting corners.
There is a prominent space with various accessories such as designer bags, as well as a relaxing corner that serves coffee. The combination of technological innovation and the relaxed atmosphere creates a pleasant experience as if we were not just in a showroom but also in a space of inspiration.
HONOR Factory and R&D Lab – It All Starts Here
After witnessing the grandeur of Honor’s headquarters and showroom in Shenzhen, our journey continued to the next location that was no less important, Honor’s smart factory and research and development (R&D) lab.
Here, we could see for ourselves how Honor products are designed and manufactured with impressive precision. Every corner of this factory tells a story of high-tech engineering, while the R&D lab is the starting point for their future innovations. A visit to Honor’s smart factory gave us a true picture of their efficiency in the production process.
Almost 85% of the entire operation is handled by automated machines designed to do their jobs well. However, human resources still play an important role, which is seen more in monitoring and quality control to ensure that each step runs smoothly, with the final product meeting their standards.
We also witnessed several tests and experiments carried out to ensure the quality of the products. For example, the production process of the Magic7 model begins with making the motherboard, followed by a thorough inspection of the hardware to ensure that all components function perfectly.
The motherboard that has been created also needs to go through a number of tests including software, Wi-Fi, antennas, and so on. If there are any problems found, the motherboard will not be used at all. The last step is the packaging process that is carried out with great care to maintain the quality of the product.
Next, we step into Honor's R&D laboratory, which is the place where ideas begin to be translated into reality. This laboratory plays an important role in creating new technologies that are ahead of their time. The research focus here includes producing more durable batteries, thus meeting the needs of users who always want the best performance.
In this laboratory, there is also a special space such as a soundproof room or chamber that is used to test the signal strength of the device. According to Honor, the average cost to build such a room can reach $100,000 (~RM 437,800.00) in total. In addition, we can see how Honor products are tested for durability in extreme conditions such as very high, or very low temperatures and extreme humidity.
Through the frame structure durability test and drop test, the device will be dropped from various heights, angles, and surfaces. All of their foldable devices also undergo a heavy-duty folding test to withstand a maximum of 500,000 folds and 60,000 pressure tests. The devices are also tested in water immersion between 1 meter and 1.8 meters to test their water resistance. These tests are important to ensure that the products produced are not only innovative, but also can withstand various situations.
Every corner of the factory and R&D lab reflects Honor's dedication to innovation and quality. Although the information shared is somewhat limited due to security and information control, it is clear that every step is taken with great care to protect the expertise that is at the core of the brand's success.
Honor's First Flagship in Chengdu - A Symbol of Tradition and Innovation
The last day of our visit took us to Chengdu to see the first flagship store of the Honor brand located in Kuanzhai Alley. This area is not only famous as a historical tourist destination but also as a location that combines traditional architecture with a modern touch. The Honor flagship store here is a symbol of harmony between cultural heritage and advanced technology.
When we arrived at the store, a relaxed atmosphere greeted our steps. The store door, which uses traditional wood with a modern design, reflects the beauty of old culture combined with a futuristic concept. From the outside, this store shows a charm that is difficult to ignore but the real fun begins when we start to step inside.
The interior of the store is decorated with natural elements that are well arranged. A small waterfall flowing at the corner of the front door is seen to create a cozy atmosphere, as if feeling in the middle of nature. Soft lighting also adds comfort while the neat arrangement of Honor products also attracts our attention. It is of course to ensure that every customer gets the best experience trying and buying their products.
However, the uniqueness of this store does not stop there, in fact one of the most interesting aspects is the space called Honor Talent. 60% of the entire store is dedicated to showcasing creativity and many young artists. In this space, the artists' works are easily displayed like an art gallery, and are truly able to amaze visitors with the creativity provided in every corner.
In addition, there is also a relaxing corner complete with a coffee room, where users can relax while enjoying hot drinks. It makes this store more than just a place to buy goods, but also a place where Honor combines technology and traditional elements for a unique experience for each visitor.

From the headquarters in Shenzhen to their smart factory and flagship store in Chengdu, this tour shows Honor's dedication to producing high-quality products.
