Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro Will Have AI Agents to Replace Human Graphic Designers

Will all my efforts to learn Adobe Photoshop since 1998 soon be useless? This is an existential question that will be answered in the near future as Adobe will introduce artificial intelligence (AI) agents in Photoshop and Premiere Pro software soon.

In the demo shared by Adobe, the AI agent will analyze the image opened in Photoshop. It will then provide suggestions for edits that can be made such as removing objects, enhancing the description and can also be instructed to place text behind the subject.

The skill of doing it manually is no longer required because Firefly will do it automatically for the user. What is more interesting is that each edit will have its own layer with Smart Object support just like how a human graphics editor does the work.

In Premiere Pro, the AI agent can be instructed to make rough edits based on the video entered into the project library that you want to work on. Instructions such as zooming in and only taking wide-angle videos, for example, can be given by a human. It is a continuation of Premiere Pro's search feature that now understands the context of the videos in the library.

Adobe will share more about the technology behind their AI agents at the Adobe Max event which will take place on April 24 in London.
