Apple today rebranded its Apple Search Ads business, to Apple Ads. This move also shows Apple's focus on the advertising business that goes beyond advertising on search alone.
Previously, Apple included advertising support on the Apple App Store, allowing app developers to advertise their apps to be seen by more people. In addition to the popularity on the App Store, Apple is also said to be looking at integrating advertising into several other applications.
This includes Apple Maps and Apple News, which will allow them to generate more revenue through it. However, Apple has not yet stated its intention or any plans for advertising on other products at this time. Perhaps with this branding, we may see Apple's next move after this.
