Meta has finally launched the Edits app for Android and iOS after announcing it in March. It is a video editing app developed as a competitor to CapCut, which could be banned if Bytedance fails to sell TikTok to a US-owned entity. Last January, the app was temporarily removed from the US app store to comply with Joe Biden's orders.
With Edits, users can edit videos directly on their mobile devices, and then export videos without any watermarks or logos. The resulting videos can then be shared on Meta's platforms and other platforms. Just like CapCut, there are various templates, editing features, and filters that allow special effects to be applied to the videos they want to produce.
