Fast Currency Exchange Function to Malaysian Ringgit Now Returns to Google Search Page

For a long time, Google has removed the ability to quickly exchange currency into Malaysian Ringgit because there have been several incidents where the exchange made by Google was very wrong when compared to the current exchange value.

Recently, perhaps because Google no longer uses country domains, but we have found that the fast currency exchange function has returned to working as usual.

Previously, you could “search” for an exchange directly, but would need to go to a currency exchange search website like Wise or Revolut to find the currency being exchanged, but today, Google-friendly currency exchange features are displayed directly on their search page, and I no longer need to click on a link to a website to do a quick currency search.

Pressing the “More about USD/MYR” button will take you to the Google Finance search page, so this is indeed a function of Google's own exchange and does not use other systems.

Whether this is an “error” from Google or it actually returns to working as usual, this is a convenience that I really want back for a long time.
