Google Photos Tests Feature to Upgrade Photos Taken to Ultra HDR

When it was introduced, Google Photos was a place that allowed users to quickly and easily store photos taken online. Google later added other features, such as the ability to edit photos directly through a web browser or the Google Photos app itself.

Google Photos also supports displaying different types of photos, including SDR and HDR depending on the photos uploaded. Lately, there are many smart devices that can take photos in HDR mode, and these photos can be saved to Google Photos without any problems.

But what if you want to edit your photos captured in SDR mode to HDR mode? Google Photos is now reportedly testing a feature that can convert regular photos taken to Ultra HDR mode directly through the app.

This feature is being tested with a few select users through the Google Photos app version 7.24.0.747539053. When this feature is introduced, it will replace the HDR Effect function under the Adjust menu, and just like HDR Effect, you can adjust the Ultra HDR level with a slider button.

This feature will allow people to quickly and easily adjust photos taken with regular smartphone cameras to HDR mode. It is currently unknown when Google will introduce this feature more widely.
