Google Will Start Using Google.com Domain for Worldwide Searches – No More Country-Based Domains

For those of you who actively use Google, you may already know that it will take you to the Google.com.my page if you open it in Malaysia. This step was implemented by Google to provide a better experience based on searches based on a user's location. However, now Google is starting to make changes to the matter.

According to Google, since 2017, they have improved Google Search, allowing it to provide the same results if using Google.com or Google.com.my (or any country-based domain). In line with this step, Google now says they no longer need to use a country-based domain.

With this development, Google stated that they will start using the Google.com domain as their homepage, and will start bringing traffic from country-based domain names to Google.com.

This introduction will be done in stages by Google in the next few months.
