The Insta360 X5 has just been launched with a number of exciting upgrades. The camera is equipped with a larger 1/1.28-inch dual sensor designed to deliver better video quality. It is also capable of recording videos in 8K/30fps resolution, while supporting a specially designed PureVideo mode to ensure clear recording results in various lighting conditions.
The Insta360 X5 is also equipped with a Triple AI Chip system, which combines a 5nm AI chip and two Pro Imaging chips. This technology can improve camera performance by 140%, help reduce noise in images, and produce clearer images. It is also designed to make 360-degree recordings easier to produce for a variety of uses.
HDR mode now allows recording at 5.7K/60FPS resolution with frame rates up to 60FPS. In addition, the camera's lenses are designed to be more durable and fully replaceable, making it more suitable for active users.
With this feature, users can easily replace damaged lenses, making it a big improvement over the X4 model which only came with a lens protector without the ability to replace it in case of damage.
The Insta360 X5 also introduces a new InstaFrame mode that allows for ready-to-share video recording with automatic framing, while recording 360-degree videos that can also be edited later. The Insta360 app also now offers more easy-to-use editing features for users to make quick edits.
The camera is designed with water resistance up to 15 meters (49 feet) making it suitable for underwater activities or extreme sports. It is equipped with a battery that can last up to three hours for 5.7K resolution video recording, and supports fast charging up to 80% in just 20 minutes via USB-C.
In addition, its audio system is equipped with wind noise reduction technology along with wireless microphone support for easy vlogging. The Insta360 X5 retail price starts at $549.99 (~RM 2,475).
