In the future, the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) will give priority to Malaysians who have registered with the MyDigital ID digital ID registration system for matters related to the department.
This was what Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said recently during the Royal Malaysian Police open house event at the Titiwangsa Stadium today. He said that for now, MyDigital ID registration is not mandatory, but those who register for it will be given priority, and in the future, when its integration is more widespread.
Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution said that the use of MyDigital ID can speed up the process of verifying the identity of citizens, and thus make any payment and registration processes that need to be done.
The government is also discussing amending the National Registration Act 1959 to allow MyDigital ID to be used as an official document to verify the identity of Malaysians.
