Streaming platform Max has also started charging for additional profiles, with the feature now available in the United States first. Like the same feature on Netflix, another profile can be added to an account for $7.99. Each Max account only offers four profiles for adult users and one profile for children. This may not be enough for users with large families.
Only one profile can be added to each account, and it will have a different email and password from the main account owner. The profile can also only be streamed on one device at a time. With this additional profile, another user can access Max without having to open a new account with a higher monthly subscription price.
At this time, this feature is only available to users in the United States. Warner Bros Discovery did not say whether it will also be offered to other markets. In Malaysia, Max can be subscribed for RM34.90 per month for a Standard account and RM52.90 per month for an Ultimate account.
