The latest flagship processor chip MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ was launched yesterday and it has already been used in the Oppo Find X8s series. It is similar to the Dimensity 9400 but with a CPU that operates at a higher speed.
The Dimensity 9400+ comes with 8 CPU cores consisting of one Cortex-X925 core at 3.73 GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores at 3.3 GHz and four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.4 GHz.
It is also equipped with the Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU and the eighth-generation 890 NPU which allows it to run various AI models such as Gemini Nano directly from a smartphone. Another improvement has been made to the NPU which can now perform artificial intelligence (AI) processes 20% faster. TSMC's 3nm technology has been used to produce this chip.
This flagship chip supports LPDDR5X memory, UFS 4.0 + MCQ storage, can support cameras up to 320MP, 8K 60FPS video recording, WQHD+ screens up to 180Hz, support for foldable tri-screen devices, WiFI 7, 5G Sub 6GHz and Bluetooth 5.4.
