Due to the announcement of the introduction of tariffs by the US President, various stocks have experienced a sharp decline, including Apple shares which have shown a decline of around 23% in recent days. This has reduced the value of Apple's company, and now positions it as the second most valuable company in the world.
Overtaking it is Microsoft, which is now worth $2.635 trillion, compared to Apple which is worth around $2.590 trillion. Meanwhile NVIDIA is in third place with a company value of $2.349 trillion
Microsoft is seen as less affected by the introduction of these tariffs than Apple given their focus on software and services, compared to Apple which relies on energy produced outside the United States.
