NVIDIA Deep Learning Super Sampling technology is an AI technology introduced by NVIDIA to enable NVIDIA graphics card users in their gaming PCs to get better gaming performance in terms of higher resolutions and frame rates, the ability to use more powerful settings for more realistic gaming quality and many other advantages for those with deep gaming hobbies.
With the launch of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 graphics cards and DLSS 4 technology, NVIDIA today announced three new PC game titles that feature support for the latest DLSS 4 technology such as DLSS Frame Generation and DLSS Super Resolution such as Steel Seed, Tempest Rising, The Talos Principle: Reawakened, Runescape: Dragonwilds and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
NVIDIA also said that with support already offered in previously launched PC games, DLSS technology supports more than 760 game titles to date.
DLSS Super Resolution allows users to play their favorite games at higher resolutions with the help of AI graphics processing, while Frame Generation, introduced starting with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 series of graphics cards, allows games to be played at higher refresh rates, and is further improved through the latest RTX 5000 series of graphics cards that allow AI to generate three additional frames for each processed frame of graphics.
DLSS Ray Reconstruction not only improves the quality of graphics when using Ray-tracing technology, but also allows you to play your games smoothly even with the mode enabled.
Another major advantage of DLSS 4, especially when compared to AMD and Intel's super-sampling technology, is that it can be used in a wide variety of games without requiring special adaptation by the developer. If a game already supports previous DLSS technology, the game can automatically support NVIDIA DLSS 4 technologies such as Super Resolution and Frame Generation.
