We had the opportunity to review the Realme 14, and in this article we discuss in depth the design, performance, camera, and interesting features it offers. Read on to find out everything you need to know about the Realme 14.

Realme 14 has a simple design but looks modern and futuristic which makes it different from other phones. At first glance, it looks like something out of a science fiction movie. The back of this phone, known as Mecha Design by Realme, really shows its own style. If this design looks familiar, it may be because the concept is similar to Infinix through their Note 20 Pro model. However, the difference is that Infinix uses black, while Realme chooses a silver color that fits the name Mecha Silver.
This phone has a flat design on the sides, front and back which makes it look neat and comfortable to hold. However, if you are someone who moves a lot, it is better to use a protective case because the surface is quite slippery although not inconvenient.
If you sweat easily, the back of the phone tends to get dirty and sometimes dirt can stick. Therefore, you need to be diligent in cleaning it so that the phone always looks attractive and clean from sticky dirt.
The camera bump has a neat round shape with fine carvings to make the overall design look more premium and detailed. One main advantage is that the camera bump is not too high, allowing this phone to remain stable when placed on a table or flat surface without disturbing shaking effects.
On the right side there is an orange power button that provides a little prominent element to make the design more attractive. In addition, this phone also provides audio adjustment buttons for ease of use. On the top, there is an infrared sensor while on the bottom, this phone is equipped with a USB-C port, speaker and SIM card slot which is a standard arrangement but still practical to use.
For the audio experience, the Realme 14 supports a stereo sound system and comes with Halo Audio technology. The sound quality produced is quite good, clear and suitable for daily use whether for listening to music, watching videos or just relaxing. Although it does not provide an extraordinary audio experience like most flagship phones, it still has a sound that is clearly audible without being too loud or harsh.
The on-screen fingerprint scanning system on the Realme 14 also deserves praise. It is responsive and smooth allowing users to easily unlock the phone without significant time lag issues. Likewise, the face scanning system works well, and provides a smooth experience. It is able to identify my face quickly even in dim lighting conditions.
The 6.72-inch AMOLED screen used also provides a bright display with quite vibrant colors. AMOLED technology also allows higher contrast and more vivid colors to be produced. The experience of watching videos, playing games and using daily applications is more satisfying. With a high refresh rate of 120Hz, it can ensure that animations and movements on the screen look smooth without excessive issues.
Hardware and Software
Realme 14 offers quite good performance for daily use. Equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip, it is one of the first devices to use this technology. With 8 GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage and support for Virtual RAM up to 14GB of RAM, this phone is able to handle some multi-tasking well whether it is browsing the internet, checking social media or doing light tasks.
Walaupun kebanyakan telefon moden sudah cukup berkuasa untuk memenuhi keperluan asas ini tetapi Realme 14 tetap memberikan pengalaman penggunaan yang lancar dan selesa. Ada sedikit lengah masa dalam situasi tertentu tetapi itu sesuatu yang biasa dan tidak memberi kesan ketara kepada keseluruhan prestasi.
Sepanjang penggunaan, Realme 14 tidak menunjukkan sebarang masalah besar. Cumanya terdapat isu di mana ujian benchmark tidak dapat dijalankan, yang berkemungkinan disebabkan oleh sekatan perisian daripada pihak pengeluar. Meskipun begitu, masalah ini dapat diselesaikan selepas kemaskini pertama yang membolehkan saya mengakses dan menjalankan ujian benchmark seperti biasa.
Seperkara yang menarik dengan Realme 14 ialah kolaborasi eksklusif dengan Mobile Legends: Bang Bang yang memberikan pengalaman lebih optimum. Sepanjang penggunaan untuk permua, prestasi telefon ini menunjukkan kelancaran yang baik tanpa gangguan ketara.
Dalam permainan Honor of Kings (HOK), peranti ini dapat mengekalkan kadar bingkai stabil sekitar 30FPS yang membolehkan sesi permainan berjalan lancar tanpa isu lengah masa yang menganggu. Manakala untuk Mobile Legends: Bang Bang dengan tetapan Ultra, telefon ini mampu mencapai di antara 90FPS hingga 120FPS terutamanya apabila GT Mode diaktifkan.
Hasilnya, pergerakan dalam permainan terasa lancar dan responsif, tanpa gangguan atau sela masa yang boleh menjejaskan pengalaman keseluruhan permainan. Satu lagi kelebihan yang tidak boleh diabaikan ialah kawalan suhu peranti. Walaupun digunakan untuk sesi permua yang panjang, Realme 14 tidak cepat panas yang menunjukkan sistem penyejukan digunakan berfungsi sebaiknya dalam memastikan prestasi kekal stabil.
Telefon ini juga menyokong pengalaman multi-tugas yang baik di mana pengguna boleh mendengar Spotify sambil bermain permua untuk menambah suasana lebih imesif. Secara keseluruhan, Realme 14 menawarkan pengalaman permua yang memuaskan terutamanya bagi mereka yang gemar bermain secara santau atau dalam sesi yang lebih panjang. Prestasi stabil, kadar bingkai tinggi, serta sistem penyejukan yang berfungsi dengan baik dapat memastikan sistem telefon berjalan dengan lancar tanpa gangguan yang ketara.
Walaupun bukan telefon yang direka untuk permua secara khusus, ia masih mampu memberikan prestasi yang bagi kebanyakan permainan popular. Pengalaman permua ini juga boleh berbeza mengikut kepada keadaan penggunaan, tetapan permainan serta kemas kini perisian daripada pihak pengeluar. Walaupun prestasi keseluruhan yang saya alami adalah baik, pengalaman ini mungkin berbeza dengan yang lain berdasarkan faktor-faktor tertentu.

Realme 14 hadir dengan perisian RealmeUI 6.0 sama seperti kebanyakan telefon terkini Realme. Antaramukanya direka dengan ringkas tetapi memberikan pengalaman penggunaan yang lancar. Susunan dan proses navigasi yang mudah difahami menjadikan ia mesra pengguna, terutamanya mereka yang biasa dengan ColorOS Oppo kerana kedua-duanya berkongsi elemen reka bentuk yang sama.
RealmeUI 6.0 turut menampilkan beberapa ciri AI yang menarik dan berguna. Antaranya ialah AI Smart Loop 2.0 yang membolehkan pengguna berkongsi gambar atau mencari maklumat dengan lebih mudah. Hanya perlu menyeret gambar ke aplikasi seperti Instragram, Facebook atau Google Search, kemudian ia akan terus dikongsikan tanpa memerlukan langkah tambahan yang rumit. Bagi mereka yang pernah mencuba Magic Portal pada telefon Honor, AI Smat Loop 2,0 memberikan pengalaman yang hampir sama.
Terdapat AI Recording Summary yang membolehkan pengguna mendapatkan ringkasan rakaman dengan cepat, sesuai untuk mereka yang sering mengambil nota suara atau melakukan rakaman penting. Tidak ketinggalan, Circle to Search yang menjadikan proses carian maklumat lebih pantas dan mudah dengan beberapa gerakan mudah sahaja.
Realme 14 turut hadir dengan ciri Live Alerts yang memberikan pengalaman notifikasi secara langsung, mirip dengan sistem notifikasi pada telefon Oppo. Ciri ini amat berguna kerana membolehkan pengguna menerima kemas kini secara real-time sama ada untuk tempahan ride-hailing, penghantaran makanan, pemasa atau rakaman audio. Notifikasi ini boleh muncul melalui paparan sentiasa hidup (AOD) yang memudahkan pengguna mengetahui status semasa tanpa perlu membuka aplikasi terlibat secara manual.
Seperti kebanyakan sistem android, Realme UI 6.0 juga masih menghadapi masalah aplikasi gendut termasuk aplikasi seperti Hot Apps, Realme Pay dan HeyTap Cloud. Tidak semua pengguna kan memerlukan aplikasi ini, tetapi jika ia dirasakan tidak sesuai atau menganggu, maka aplikasi itu boleh sahaja dibuang secara manual.
Kamera Dan Kualiti Gambar
Dari segi kamera, Realme 14 hadir dengan sensor utama 50MP OIS, dan menyokong video sehingga 40K/30FPS yang membolehkan video berkualiti tinggi bersama pergerakan yang lancar dirakam sebaiknya. Untuk kamera hadapan, telefon ini dilengkapi dengan sensor 16MP yang cukup baik untuk swafoto dan panggilan video.
Antaramuka kamera direka dengan ringkas menyerupai UI pada telefon peranti lain. Semua ciri utama dapat digunakan dengan baik tanpa perlu banyak langkah tambahan untuk mengakses mod atau tetapan tertentu. Antara ciri fotografi menarik yang ditawarkan termasuklah AI Snap Mode yang membolehkan saya menangkap gambar secara burst untuk mendapatkan hasil terbaik.
Seterusnya penstabilan video terbina menyediakan hasil rakaman lebih stabil dan lancar terutamanya ketika merakam dalam keadaan bergerak. AI Eraser pula memudahkan saya untuk memadam objek yang tidak diingini dalam gambar tanpa perlu bergantung pada aplikasi pihak ketiga.
AI Face Clear direka untuk meningkatkan kejelasan wajah dalam gambar tetapi hasilnya mungkin berbeza bergantung kepada pencahayaan dan jenis gambar. Dalam sesetengah keadaan, kesannya boleh kelihatan kurang semula jadi, justeru saya lebih memilih untuk menggunakan mod biasa sahaja jika hasil AI tidak memenuhi jangkaan.
Bagaimanapun, ciri-ciri berasaskan AI tadi memerlukan sambungan internet untuk berfungsi. Saya juga perasan Realme 14 turut membawa beberapa ciri menarik yang diinspirasikan daripada siri Oppo Reno terkini. Salah satunya ialah Underwater Mode yang sesuai untuk rakaman bawah air, dan membolehkan pengguna merakam gambar atau video dengan jelas tanpa perlu bergantung kepada aksesori tambahan. Kamera telefon ini juga hadir dengan penuras filem seperti CC, NH dan Emerald yang menjadikan hasil tangkapan lebih unik.
Walaupun Realme 14 tidak mempunyai kamera ultrawide sebenarnya Panorama Mode boleh menjadi alternatif yang baik untuk tangkapan bersudut luas. Kadang kala kekurangan ciri tertentu boleh mendorong pengguna untuk lebih kreatif dalam menghasilkan gambar yang berkualiti.
Bateri Dan Sistem Pengecasan
Bateri Realme 14 menjadi salah satu kelebihan utama telefon ini. Dengan kapasiti 6000mAh, ia mampu bertahan lebih daripada sehari dengan penggunaan biasa. Berdasarkan pengalaman, selepas SOT sekitar 17 jam 43 minit masih berbaki bateri sebanyak 25% meskipun digunakan untuk binge-watch Netflix, merakam gambar dan video raya, bermain permua dan menatal Instagram tanpa masalah.
Bagi penggunaan yang lebih intensif, SOT boleh bertahan sekitar 10 jam yang masih baik untuk penggunaan berat. Dari segi pengecasan, telefon ini hadir dengan pengecasan 44W dalam kotak yang membolehkan ia dicas dengan pantas. Realme 14 tidak menyokong pengecasan nirwayar.
Like most Android systems, Realme UI 6.0 also still faces the problem of bloated applications including applications such as Hot Apps, Realme Pay and HeyTap Cloud. Not all users need these applications, but if they feel inappropriate or annoying, then the application can be manually removed.
Camera and Image Quality
In terms of the camera, Realme 14 comes with a 50MP OIS main sensor, and supports video up to 40K/30FPS which allows high-quality videos with smooth movements to be recorded best. For the front camera, this phone is equipped with a 16MP sensor which is good enough for selfies and video calls.
The camera interface is designed simply, resembling the UI on other device phones. All the main features can be used well without having to take many additional steps to access certain modes or settings. Among the interesting photography features offered include AI Snap Mode which allows me to capture photos in bursts to get the best results.
Next, the built-in video stabilization provides more stable and smooth recording results especially when recording in motion. AI Eraser also makes it easy for me to erase unwanted objects in the picture without having to rely on third-party applications.
AI Face Clear is designed to improve the clarity of faces in photos, but the results may vary depending on the lighting and type of photo. In some cases, the effect can look less natural, so I prefer to use the normal mode only if the AI results do not meet expectations.
However, the AI-based features above require an internet connection to work. I also noticed that the Realme 14 also brings some interesting features inspired by the latest Oppo Reno series. One of them is Underwater Mode, which is suitable for underwater recording, and allows users to record photos or videos clearly without having to rely on additional accessories. This phone's camera also comes with film filters such as CC, NH and Emerald that make the shots more unique.
Although the Realme 14 does not have an ultrawide camera, Panorama Mode can actually be a good alternative for wide-angle shots. Sometimes the lack of certain features can encourage users to be more creative in producing quality photos.
Battery and Charging System
The Realme 14 battery is one of the main advantages of this phone. With a capacity of 6000mAh, it can last more than a day with normal use. Based on experience, after SOT around 17 hours 43 minutes there is still 25% battery left even though used to binge-watch Netflix, take pictures and videos of Raya, play games and scroll through Instagram without any problems.
For more intensive use, SOT can last around 10 hours which is still good for heavy use. In terms of charging, this phone comes with 44W charging in the box which allows it to charge quickly. Realme 14 does not support wireless charging.

Despite some minor shortcomings such as the lack of wireless charging, and the ultra-wide camera, the phone still manages to offer a good package for those who want a balance between design, performance and smart features. It is also suitable for those who want a smooth and practical usage experience without having to spend a lot of money on the flagship phones in the market.
