The One UI 7 update that brings Android 15 to Samsung devices has been restarted globally after being stopped a week ago. The restart was done by Samsung after users in South Korea reported an issue where the device could not be unlocked after the update.
Owners of the global Galaxy S24, Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 series began reporting that their devices can now download One UI 7 starting today. In Malaysia, owners of all three devices also reported the same thing. The download size of One UI 7 on the Z Fold6, for example, is 5658 MB and can be done OTA. According to the original schedule, One UI 7 was supposed to be received by Malaysian users on April 14.
With One UI 7, several new features introduced in the Galaxy S25 series will also be provided to older devices. This update is highly anticipated because it is provided very late compared to One UI 6 which was given an update in December 2023. The delay is due to Samsung providing One UI 7 to the Galaxy S25 series which was launched in January.
